Logos

Let's face it, logos are the hardest and the most rewarding design job. When done right, it’s simple but yet subconsciously tells a story. My favorite logos are subtle logos with meaningful imagery without being distracting, eliciting an inner understanding rather than a literal interpretation of the product.

A new look

17 years ago, I took a job as a typesetter to get my foot in the door as a graphic designer for a cause I truly believe in. One of my first and proudest accomplishments was learning that my ads and designs had inspired the company to rebrand their 24-year-old journal, Stem Cells. I went on to redesign the journal cover to cover.

A journal is born

Eleven years ago, there was a need for a new stem cells journal. Stem cell research was moving from the lab to the clinic, and the new journal, Stem Cells Translational Medicine, was launched. I was in charge of branding it as the sister journal to the well-established journal, Stem Cells.

This journal has a huge place in my heart, as it’s where the rubber meets the road in stem cell science. I have had the privilege to work with pioneers and personal heroes.

Webinars & Presentations

With today’s technology and the pandemic, webinars are becoming more popular. This is a branding suite for an exciting webinar on shipping biomaterials worldwide and even to space … I love regenerative medicine! This is the main webinar graphic, one-pager handout, PowerPoint presentation, and live webinar.

Let’s change together

The Society for Translational Oncology is a respected non-profit organization that I have designed for from its start and through all its brand changes. My original assignment was to create a classic respectable design inspired by a doctor’s home office globe. Later, it needed to shift to complement its official journal The Oncologist, with a more modern look.

The latest look.
